Tweed Holiday Parks has adopted this policy to efficiently respond to all cancellation requests.  All requests for refunds, credits and reservation date changes must be provided by the customer who made the booking in writing to the Holiday Park Management via email, by hand or mail.  

Cancelling a reservation in the Off-Peak period

  • All cancellation requests provided in writing to Tweed Holiday Parks Park Managers providing 72 hours' notice prior to arrival in Off-Peak period, will be approved and a refund can be provided. 
  • If less than 72 hours notice is provided and there is a clear extenuating circumstance a date change or credit can be provided.
  • If less than 72 hours notice is provided without a clear extenuating circumstance all monies are forfeited.
  • All refunds are subject to a $40 administration fee. 

Cancelling a reservation in the Shoulder period

  • All cancellation requests provided in writing to the Holiday Park Managers providing at least 7 days notice prior to arrival in Shoulder period will be approved and a refund can be provided.
  • If less than 7 days notice is provided and there is a clear extenuating circumstance a date change or credit can be provided.
  • If less than 7 days notice is provided without a clear extenuating circumstance all monies are forfeited.
  • Reducing the length of stay within 7 days of arrival will result in a credit, no refund will be provided.
  • All refunds are subject to a $40 administration fee.

Cancelling a reservation in the Peak period

  • All cancellation requests provided in writing to the Holiday Park Managers providing at least 14 days notice prior to arrival in Peak period will be approved and a refund can be provided.
  • If less than 14 days notice is provided and there is a clear extenuating circumstance, a date change or credit will be considered for a cancelled booking.
  • If less than 14 days notice is provided without a clear extenuating circumstance all monies are forfeited.
  • All refunds are subject to a $40 administration fee.

Credits and date changes

  • Changes to a booking can be made up to 72 hours prior to arrival in off-peak season, 7 days prior to arrival in shoulder season and 14 days prior to arrival in peak season.
  • One free date change will be provided over the life of the booking. Any further changes to a booking will incur a $40 administration fee.
  • Credits provided are valid for 12 months from the original date of arrival.

Transfers

  • A transfer can occur between Tweed Holiday Parks 7 holiday parks for the following reasons:
  • On arrival it is discovered that a reservation has been made at the incorrect park.
  • Within an hour of arrival the holiday parks accommodation, or the park itself, is deemed unsatisfactory by the customer
  • The caravan/camper is too large for the site booked and no suitable alternative sites are available.
  • To process the transfer, clear evidence is required to validate a booking has been made in another one of Tweed Holiday Parks 7 holiday parks.
  • A request to transfer funds or credits from one Tweed Holiday Park to another shall be treated as a refund with no administration fee.

Early departures

  • Once a guest is checked into the holiday park no refund or credit will be provided for reducing the length of stay.
  • Once a guest is checked into the holiday park no refund or credit will be provided for wet weather conditions or weather events.

Failure to notify of a cancellation and no show

  • No refund or credit will be provided where failure to notify Holiday Park Management of intention to cancel a reservation, and the guest did not arrive on the day of arrival.
  • If no contact can be made, the reservation will be cancelled at 10am the following day after the arrival date.

Variations

  • Tweed Holiday Parks reserves the right to vary, replace or terminate this Policy from time to time.
