The Kingscliff Triathlon first started in 2010 and has hosted two triathlons, one at the beginning and end of each summer every year since. The Kingscliff Triathlon was created as a community sporting event to celebrate the Tweed and helps to get the whole family active. This event holds a longstanding tradition of fundraising for the Cudgen Headland SLSC, and a number of other community groups.

There are many heats depending on your age and durability, the swim starts from 100m (for children) through to 1.5km for the Olympics, for the Olympic group, this also includes a 40km bicycle ride and a 10km run.
