Tweed Heads – Our Tweed Heads Holiday Park is smack bang in the centre of fishing heaven. The Tweed River’s rocks and banks are abundant with bream, flathead, and jewfish. You can also find bass in the upper reaches, mangrove jack to the south, trevally at the mouth, and dart, tailor and whiting in the offshore reefs. Locals favourite spots to fish along the Tweed River include North Wall and Jack Evans Boat Harbour, but with direct access to the Terranora creek from within the park, you don’t need to leave to pull in your next catch!  Best fished on the run out, you’ll get bream after bream as you float a bait over the weed beds.

Fingal Head – If beach fishing is your game, then Fingal Head is your red-hot fishing spot. A reliable provider of tailor, bream and jew fish it has fabulous rock fishing that is only dependant on weather for success. A light southeaster or offshore breeze will see it all happen and you can virtually access all of this great fishing potential from our Fingal Head Holiday Park.

The Tweed River, west of the holiday park, with its very fishable south wall at the end of Letitia Road also offers wide expanses of flats, channels and handy rock groynes for the boater. In all, there’s no question that this particular holiday destination is situated right in the midst of some serious fishing opportunities.

Kingscliff – Kingscliff Beach and Kingscliff North Holiday Parks are so central to a great many fishing spots. Certainly, the fact that you can just walk straight out both Parks with direct access to the beach and enjoy beach fishing for whiting, bream, tailor, or dart is significant, but so too is the section of rock on the beach just south of the holiday park – plus the walls on nearby Cudgen Creek. These are renowned for fish like bream, tailor, and whiting plus luderick for the fine line and float brigade during winter months.  Wake up to the sounds of the ocean and come home to your very own fresh catch!

Hastings Point – An aquatic wonderland, the best fishing can be found in the estuary or you can try beach fishing, but it’s the calm waters of Cudgera Creek, just meters from our Hastings Point holiday park that make it perfect for all ages. Schools of mulloway are often in close among the gutters in the rock pools.  The rocks produce mainly yellowfin bream, with a good chance of tailor.  Tidal Cudgera Creek produces flathead, bream, jacks and luderick.  Use lures to get past the small bream, but honestly, grab everything – your crab pots, rods, reels, bait and tackle, and head out on a watery adventure in our little slice of paradise.

Pottsville – For anglers seeking a truly relaxed time, then pull up at Pottsville!  It’s not hard to catch a feed of fish here at any time of year. Mooball Creek alone can offer fishing for quite a few species of fish such as whiting, bream, flathead, luderick (in the colder months). The walls at the mouth are renowned for tailor and bream, with jew also a possibility in times of discoloured water. The creek is tidal, which means that it’s easy to wade straight out from your Pottsville South holiday park site onto the wide sandy bed, or a easy 5 minute stroll from our Pottsville North Park to fish for whiting or flathead as the tide is sneaking in. A favourite pastime for anglers of all ages.
