With Breakfast being the most important meal of the day, we thought we would do the research for you and round up some of the best local breakfast spots on the Tweed coast.
- Little Mali | Coolangatta
Named after a rock reef located off Rainbow Bay that’s mostly submerged by sand, this hip corner coffee spot pulls out the goods for breakfast. Dishing up a tasty selection of delicious breakfast wraps, croissants, bowls, smooth coffee, and several different types of tea. If time has got the better of you and it’s more brunch they create fresh salads daily for vegans, vegos, and carnivores. Loved by the locals, Little Mali is a must when you are staying at our Tweed Heads Park. - Cubby Bakehouse | Chinderah
Some things are just better on a fresh baguette and Cubby Bakehouse has all of those things and more; the standout being its eggs benny with delicious house made hollandaise. Sweet tooths will be more than a little pleased with their epic pastries, think vanilla slice, salted caramel and rye brownies. Don’t worry if you sleep in, they are serving an all-day breakfast menu. You’ll find Cubby in the heart of Chinderah overlooking the Tweed River, and just up the road from our Fingal Head Holiday Park. - Mockingbird | Kingscliff
Mockingbird is located in a lush little garden spot right off Marine Parade, which makes it the prettiest (and tastiest) place for brunch. The crew at Mockingbird only use local fresh produce and ethically sourced meats and eggs, so you can feel good about wolfing absolutely everything down at this delicious spot. Meander across from our Kingscliff Beach Holiday Park, or enjoy the short stroll along the beach from our Kingscliff North Holiday Park. - Hastings Point General Store | Hastings Point
Start your day off right with a traditional breakfast menu, and magic view for the win. Hastings Point General Store is your quintessential beach convenience store, offering not only delicious takeaway fare and seaside coffee, but everything from a fully licenced bottle shop, an Australia Post Agency and a newsagency. Frequented by campers, day trippers, locals, overseas tourists it sits directly out the front of our Hastings Point Holiday Park with spectacular views of the beach and Cudgera Creek. You will even see the whales pass by as they migrate north during the winter months. - Tropical Fruit World | Duranbah
Set on a 200-acre working farm featuring over 500 unusual tropical fruits from all over the world, you can up your breakfast game at Tropical Fruit World’s Plantation Café. Enjoy a menu that celebrates the fresh exotic fruits grown on the farm, seasonal produce sourced locally as well as growers from around the region who deliver the best quality food that nature has to offer, all while admiring views out over the region’s tallest mountain, Mt Warning (Wollumbin). Entry to the Café is FREE, and the café is open every day from 9am. - Black Drop | Pottsville
With excellent coffee, an imaginative and refreshing menu and a relaxed vibe, Black Drop is a breakfast must-visit when you stay with us at our Pottsville North or Pottsville South holiday parks. A hidden gem delivering top notch coffee and delectable bites featuring local and seasonal produce. Time to up your breakfast game here – yes you’ll still find your favourites like eggs and coconut-yoghurt bircher muesli on offer, however so are drool-inducing plates such as pumpkin waffles with maple, fig, a gingerbread crumble and burnt-butter ganache. One word – YUM!
